Everyone knows what a poster is, right? Printed and displayed on walls, in windows, in stand-alone holders, posters are found everywhere people congregate in public.
In essence, all posters are promotional posters in that they’re are used to heighten awareness in the general public about upcoming events; a product, service, or company; grand openings, sales, and/or critical/helpful information. Posters are designed to attract attention and to convey basic information quickly with simple, readable text.
What is Large Format Printing?
In a previous blogpost, we answered this question and discussed the various print items that fall under this category. While a tabloid-sized (11” x 17”) printed sheet is considered the smallest poster size, posters can range in size from 18” x 24” to 24” x 36” to 36” x 48” and larger. For sizes larger than what can be produced on commercial printing presses, specialty printing devices can be used. However, these devices are limited in the quantities they can produce economically.
