Books and Binding
Wire-O BindingAKA: twin-loop, double-loop, duo-wire, double-O
Wire-O Binding is similar to spiral coil binding but looks more solid and upscale. Wire-O binding works with books or documents with multiple pages and inserts such as index tabs or section dividers.
Wire-O binding consists of pre-formed pairs of wire loops inserted through holes punched through a book’s cover and internal pages. Crimped together to form an “o”, the wire loops bind the cover and pages firmly while enabling the pages to open without restraint.
Wire-O Binding Advantages
- Books open 360 degrees (cover to cover) – they can lie flat when opened and can be flattened from any page.
- Left and right pages open symmetrically so that material crossing two pages (maps, charts, graphs, illustrations) can remain aligned.
- Books can be wrapped from any page, taking up half the space.
- Pages turn easily.
- Looks nice!
